About Me

About Me.

Hi, I’m Kia, and I want to begin by commending you for taking the courageous step of exploring therapy. Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially when faced with so many different therapists and approaches, leaving you unsure of where to start. However, by being here and seeking information, you've already made a significant first step toward positive change.

I understand how overwhelming this process can seem, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I'm here to guide you, answer any questions you may have, and help you find the support that feels right for you. Whether you're uncertain or just beginning this journey, I’m here to assist you in any way I can.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and friendly. I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel truly heard, respected, and understood. With training in humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, I take a relational approach that acknowledges your unique experiences and individuality. This allows me to tailor our work together to meet your specific needs and personal goals.

We will work at a pace that feels right for you as I sit alongside you in this process of gently exploring the root of your difficulties. Together, we will invite a deeper awareness of yourself, moving towards healing and growth.

Our first session is an important opportunity for both of us to explore whether we're a good fit for working together. A strong therapeutic connection is essential for growth and healing. This is your space, and it’s important that it feels right for you. If, at any point, I think that a different approach or therapist might better meet your specific needs, I will always be open and transparent with you. My priority is to help you find the path that is best suited for your growth and well-being, even if that means referring you to someone else.

As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to their ethical framework for good practice and this includes the regular attendance of Continued Professional Development courses and full professional Insurance.
